College Credits: Students Earn Diplomas, Make Deans List – Patch.com

Students from area towns like Lemont, Homer Glen, Lockport, Bolingbrook and Romeoville are celebrating accomplishments throughout the semester, including making Dean’s List, enrolling in college, and earning scholarships.

Julie Stanwyck Earns Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence at Colgate University
Julie Stanwyck, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2022, has earned the spring 2021 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. Stanwyck is a Music major and a graduate of Lemont Township High School, from Lemont.
Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses earn the spring 2021 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.
Zachary Mayhugh of Bolingbrook earns University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree
Zachary Thomas Mayhugh of Bolingbrook was among 1,316 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 17 and 18 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Mayhugh earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Arts and Sciences.
The graduates are from 41 countries, 43 states and the District of Columbia, and more than 150 Nebraska communities. Shane Farritor, Lederer Professor of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Nebraska, delivered the undergraduate commencement address. Sarah Gervais, Susan J. Rosowski Professor of psychology at Nebraska, spoke to the graduate and professional degree earners.
Students named to MSOE Dean’s List for Fall Quarter 2021
Lorrin Pondo, from Bolingbrook, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Dean’s List with High Honors for the 2021 Fall Quarter. Pondo is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
Reagan Tompkins, from Lockport, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Dean’s List with High Honors for the 2021 Fall Quarter. Tompkins is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Emma Oster of Lockport, was named to the MSOE Honors List. Oster is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.

Ryan Reid of Homer Glen, was named to the MSOE Honors List. Reid is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Scott Szymkowiak of Lockport, was named to the MSOE Honors List. Szymkowiak is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
Rachel Anne Ybanez Performs in the 2021 Nationally-Televised Production of “Christmas at Belmont”

Rachel Anne Ybanez of Romeoville joined nearly 650 Belmont University students and faculty in the performance of this year’s “Christmas at Belmont,” set to air on PBS for the 19th straight holiday season.
“Christmas at Belmont” premiered Dec. 20 on PBS stations across the country, with encore broadcasts scheduled for Christmas night. Check local listings for additional broadcast times.
This year’s performance of “Christmas at Belmont” promises an array of traditional carols, classical masterworks and seasonal favorites in addition to selections from Belmont alumnus Josh Turner’s new Christmas album. Produced by Nashville Public Television (NPT), “Christmas at Belmont” was taped live for the first time in the newly opened Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on the University’s campus. “Christmas at Belmont” is underwritten in part by presenting sponsor Tyson Foods.
