Faculty of Medicine researchers are among nine interdisciplinary teams selected by UBC Health to receive up to $25,000 through the Health Innovation Funding Investment (HIFI) Awards.
The HIFI Awards catalyze cross-faculty and cross-campus collaboration at the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses, enabling health researchers to undertake innovative activities that have the potential to create change. Grants are awarded to develop, undertake, or translate innovative health-related research.
After an interdisciplinary review committee evaluated more than 40 applications, UBC Health selected nine collaborative teams to receive a total of $219,975 for innovative interdisciplinary research projects across a range of areas.
Of the nine selected teams, Faculty of Medicine researchers are leading four projects and collaborating as co-investigators on eight projects.
