Indores son did wonders, Microsoft proposed this offer – News Track English

Indore: Yash Sonkia, a visually impaired student from Indore, has been offered a package of Rs 47 lakh annually by Microsoft company in the placement process. Yash was in Class 5, and since then he used to tell his father that I have to become a software engineer. Yash studied at SGSITS and fulfilled his desire to become a software engineer with the help of a screen reader. Yash received education from Madhya Pradesh Board till the 10th standard.
In the 5th, when Yash used to talk about becoming a software engineer, initially due to being visually impaired, the family members used to tell him to keep his mind that after the 10th they would talk about it. Yash, who scored 88 per cent marks in class X, chose mathematics and science when it came to selecting the subject in class 11. I didn't find books in the beginning. Some books were arranged with great difficulty. Then it was discovered that screen reader software can help in getting an education on computers. After this, on the basis of JEE Main, he got admission to the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in 2017 but had to study in Indore, so chose the Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS).
The same Yash was the first student of the institute who had to face many problems in getting practicals and giving exams. Instead of the written test, Yash was given a computer-based test. Recently, in the placement process, Yash has been offered a job by Microsoft company at a package of Rs 47 lakh per annum. Yash said that there are only a few companies in the world where only the knowledge of the student is seen. Microsoft also took the online interview and asked to do online coding. With the help of a screen reader, I did what he told me to do on time. Yash's father Yashpal Sonakia runs a canteen in the District Court and his mother Yogita Sonakia is a housewife. He said that we ourselves are surprised that Yash was successful in fulfilling the wish that Yash had told us in class 5th. In the meantime, many problems also came, But Yash did not lose courage at every turn and kept practising sitting on the computer for hours to take computer science education. SGSITS Director Prof. Rakesh Saxena says that Yash is the first student of Indore who completed his computer engineering studies and also got a job in a reputed company like Microsoft.
