Job offers bonanza for VGEC engg students – Ahmedabad Mirror

In just one month of opening the campus to recruiters, final year degree engineering students of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College are having a gala time. As many as 150 students from among the 700 eligible have already got placements in about 19 companies that offered jobs.
The average salaries too have been very lucrative, breaching the last year’s average package of Rs 5 lakh by Rs1.5 lakh this year so far, with average increasing to Rs6.5 lakh per annum, officials said. The highest salary offered to students so far to soon-to-be engineers is Rs 10 lakh pa.
“What is interesting is that students graduating in 2023 with computer engineering, Information Technology are among the ones who got a larger chunk of job offers. From some 100 students in CE who opted for placements, 67 students have been offered jobs. Apart from this, 42 students in IT, 24 in Electronic and Communication have got offers,” said principal of the college, Nilay Bhuptani. 
Officials said that of those who are offered jobs, 90% are offered more than Rs6 lakh per annum package, 70% are placed in computer engineering, IT and EC. “We are expecting all students in CE and IT to be placed by September 15. Apart from this, we have also reported a significant jump in EC, IC and Electrical branch students getting job offers right at the start of the academic year. 
Placements will go on till the end of the academic year, till students get satisfactory job offers.
Major companies that visited the college to recruit for 2023 passout batch are Argusoft India Ltd., Simform Solutions, IBM, Motadata, Primid Tech, Scaledge India Pvt. Ltd., Meditab, Tatvasoft, Synopsis, EInfochips. Besides, Capgemini, Mastek and Hitachi Hi-Rel have confirmed their visits in August and September, said officials
