Job description
The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EEECS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is seeking a Research Fellow to join our Biohaviour team and be part of our exciting programme – Re-Imagining Engineering Design (RIED).
The research will be carried out as part of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded project – “Re-Imagining Engineering Design – Growing Radical Cyber-Physical-Socio Phenotypes” which is led by Queen’s University Belfast in partnership with Loughborough University, University of York and ten major UK industrial companies including Airbus, Rolls-Royce and Spirit Aero systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing distributed software to support the integration of design and manufacturing systems. This will involve development of agent-based software models to support autonomous interaction among design components; and development of scalable software to support management of large populations of design solutions. You will also work in partnership with other Biohaviour Researchers in QUB, York and Loughborough delivering a team solution for the whole programme.
