The Photonics Research Lab, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Research Scientist to work on the development of a versatile and energy-efficient integrated photonics circuit for optical communication and interconnects.
The successful applicant will drive an exciting project on the development of integrated optical circuits in the Silicon Photonics (SiPh) platform. Our photonics research lab has set modern tools for the design, testing, and optimization of photonic circuits. It is open for collaboration with researchers with a background in basic research to investigate compact high-speed optical circuits. The specialty of this research project is the development of novel device concepts for energy efficient on-chip optical interconnects. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students.
Applicants must have a PhD in science or engineering.  Experience in silicon photonics is a plus. For consideration, applicants need to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae with a full publication list, statement of research interests, and three letters of reference, all in PDF format.
