Taunton Gazette names 2022 Boys Volleyball All-Scholastics – Taunton Daily Gazette

TAUNTON — Another boys volleyball season is in the books in Greater Taunton.
While neither Taunton nor Dighton-Rehoboth made the tournament this spring, there were still moments of brightness for both local teams and as always there’s hope for the future with talented underclassmen.
Here are the eight area boys volleyball players who went above and beyond this season to be named the 2022 Taunton Daily Gazette Boys Volleyball All-Scholastics.
Player of the Year
The junior outside hitter was key on offense for the Tigers this spring, leading the team in kills, kills per set and hitting percentage. He came in clutch during Taunton’s 3-1 win over King Philip with 20 kills and a pair of aces and also contributed nine kills, eight digs and six aces in a 3-1 win over Durfee. He will look to put in more big performances during his senior campaign next spring.

The junior libero served his role well for the Tigers this season, leading the team in both digs and digs per set. His abilities were on full display in the win over King Philip where he recorded 18 digs. Look for him to continue to be the team’s leading defensive player as he returns for his senior campaign.
The senior outside hitter continued to be one of the Falcons’ top offensive performers, in addition to some solid defense, in his final season as he led the team in both kills and kills per set. One of his best performances of the season came in a 3-2 win over Bellingham where he recorded 11 kills and eight digs while he also recorded six kills and four blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Norwood. Both his offensive and defensive abilities will certainly be missed at D-R next season.
