The University of Texas at Tyler College of Engineering is ranked 42nd nationwide by the U.S. News and World Report as noted on the publication’s Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs (no doctorate) list published this week. The College of Engineering has been on a steady climb up the publication’s top 100 list for four consecutive years, rising this time from last year’s ranking of 75.
For the second consecutive year, UT Tyler is the highest ranked Texas public institution for undergraduate engineering programs with no doctorate. This is just one of UT Tyler’s most recent rankings. The U.S. News and World Report list also ranked the UT Tyler undergraduate nursing programming 112th, and the university is 35th on Washington Monthly’s 2023 College Guide for Ranked Colleges’ Best Bang for the Buck Southern Colleges list.

UT Tyler provides the only comprehensive engineering college in East Texas, offering degree programs in chemical, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, along with a new computer engineering program set to launch next fall. The college also provides construction management programming with instructional sites on the university’s main campus in Tyler and at the UT Tyler Houston Engineering Center in Houston.
