The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University take the second and third places. The Technical University of Munich, one of only two German institutions in the top 50, is the only newcomer to the top 10. It claims 10th place, having climbed four places from 14th.Many ranking in the top 400 for the first time are in the Arab region.
