A two-day international conference on computer science and information technology and software engineering was held in the NED community
Speakers at the conference lauded the efforts of NED organizers for providing an esteemed platform to researchers, scientists, and industry practitioners from across the world to present their cutting-edge research as well as sharing latest industry insights.
Asif Ikram, Secretary of Information Science and Technology of the Government of Sindh, was the chief guest on the occasion. In his opening speech, Vice Chancellor of NED Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi said that the society is being confined to microchips, and communication is conducted without talking to each other.
“We teach our students to conquer the world in computer related fields.” He added.
The Secretary of Information Science and Technology of the Government of Sindh Asif Ikram said that the answers to the questions are found in research articles. I think that it is necessary to participate in the conference in order to know the ground realities.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Prof. Dr. Shankar Bhawani Chaudhry, the Chairperson of the Software Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Shehnila Zardari, the Chairman of Computer Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Mubasher Khan addressed the audience. Speakers said that discussions are essential to develop latest technology.
Speaking at the closing session of the second day, Sindh HEC Chairman Dr. Tariq Rafi said that the conference is the best platform for academia, research, government and various stakeholders.
According to University spokesperson Farwa Hassan, 5 international keynote speakers including 32 national experts presented their papers. 7 technical sessions were also held in the conference. Dr. Sharq Mahmood Khan, secretary of the two-day international conference, thanked the guests.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tufail, Dean of the Faculty of Information Sciences and Humanities Prof. Dr. Noman Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Dr. Asif Ahmed Sheikh, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering Prof. Dr. Saad Qazi, Registrar Seyed Ghazanfar Hossein, Director of Services Wasiuddin, Director of IT Asad Arefin and deputy registrar Khaled Makhdoom Hashemi Samit, and a large number of teachers and students participated in the conference.
