MSC receives P20-M grant from CHEd – The Manila Times

THE Marinduque State College (MSC) received P20-million grant for the establishment of the Marinduque Sports and Wellness Program from the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), according to MSC President Diosdado Zulueta.
Dubbed as MSC's Sports and Wellness Program: Toward an I.D.E.A.L. Community, the grant includes the upgrading of MSC's track and field oval, among many others.
The program is also being made possible with the strong support of Marinduque Governor Presbitero Velasco Jr.
Meanwhile, students from MSC's BS Computer Engineering program bagged major awards from the recently concluded Regional ICpEP CPE Challenge sponsored by the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines.
Coached by Associate Professor Desiree Malalad and Pamela Jane Agapay, the winners grabbed medals in both the Quiz Bowl and the three Programming Categories – Python, C, C ++.
The student contestants for the Programming who brought home prizes for Python were Clarence Madrigal, first place; Ace Francis Monteagudo and Khen Rhemon Mirones, first and second place, respectively for C category; and Raven Bryle Hexter Riego, third place, C++ category.
They were also supported by Programming team members Regio and Jerome Laurente.
For the Quiz Bowl Competion, the winners were Jepthe Laderas, Reena Vea Mendoza and Adrian Villaruel finishing at third place.
