UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought Online Applications from the Persons deemed to be eligible for the Post of Deputy Central Intelligence Officer (Technical) (DCIO/Tech) in the Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs.
As per UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification UPSC has notified 04 Vacancies to be filled up with an Appointment on the Post of Deputy Central Intelligence Officer (Technical) (DCIO/Tech) in the Pay Scale Level 10 in the Intelligence Bureau, the Ministry of Home Affairs. Out of 04 Vacancies, 02 Posts are earmarked for the General/Un-Reserved Category Candidates and Remaining 02 Vacancies comprise 01 Vacancy each reserved for OBC and SC Community Candidates.
In view of the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued with reference to Dy. Central Intelligence Officer/Technical Posts in the Ministry of Home Affairs among the Eligible Candidates, willing to be Applicants, may complete the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) Process up to 12th January 2023 (12.01.2023)

Post Classification: General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
Employment nature: The Posting remains Permanent
Vacancy: 04 Nos.
Posting Location: Ministerial Head Quarters, New Delhi
 

1) The Un-Reserved Category Candidates should NOT exceed 35 Years as on 12.01.2023 the normal Closing Date.
2) The Upper Age Limit remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
3) For Age concession applicable to some other Categories of Applicants (Refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’) of the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

The Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience essential as per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement for the Applicants are as follows:
Educational Qualification(s):
a) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Engg. or B.Tech.)/B.Sc.(Engg) in Electronics/Electronics & Communications/Electronics and Telecommunications/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computer Technology/Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology/Software Engineering from any Accredited Recognized University; Or
Associate Membership of Institute of Engineers(AMIE) in Electronics and Communications Engineering/ Graduateship awarded by Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (AMIETE) in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (*Only those students who got enrolled with the Institutions with Permanent Recognition up to 31.05.2013 remain Eligible to be considered); Or
Master of Science in Physics with Electronics/Telecommunications; Or
Master of Computer Applications(MCA) after 03 Years’ Bachelor of Science in Physics/Master of Science (Information Technology)/Master of Science (Computer Science)/Master of Science (Software) from any Accredited University.
Note: The Qualifications, in case of Candidates otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.

The Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection and Other Criteria vide the explained hereunder:
Recruitment Methodology:
In the event of the Applications received relatively in a large number from Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria aimed at restricting the number of only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
a) “On the basis of Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs) if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.
b) Based on Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Notification.
c) On the basis of Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.
d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.
e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).
f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Note-II: Important Points:
Viva-voce/Personality Test weighs Total 100 Marks explained as hereunder:
i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:
a) Un-Reserved Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks
b) Economically Weaker Sections 50 Marks
c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks
d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.
ii) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.

a) The Candidates shall need to pay an Application Fee of Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
b) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from paying the Application Fee.

i) Eligible and Willing Candidates should visit the USPC ORA Website for completing the Online Application Process.
ii) Carefully Read the Online Application/Registration Instructions available on the UPSC ORA Portal.
iii) Initiate the Online Application Process as per the Instructions on the Online Registration Application Portal.
iv) Scan Signature and the Most-recent Passport-size Photograph for uploading with Online Registered Application (ORA).
v) Ready Self-attested Documents to be uploaded UPSC Online Registration of Application.
vi) Remit the Application Fee Online through Payment Gateway Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking, etc.
